DIRECTOR'S REPORT

Dear Industry Partners,

As you know, the Rooster Rush promotion is in full swing. The sponsored Vikings game was a huge success with the branded giveaways, the halftime contest, talking to tailgaters before the game and the South Dakota messaging inside the Metrodome.

In addition to our efforts, many of you jumped on board with the Rooster Rush theme and coordinated events of your own. It’s awesome to see so many blaze orange Rooster Rush banners and posters across the state!

As shoulder season slowly comes to a close, we’re looking forward to promoting South Dakota’s excellent winter events and outdoors adventure opportunities. With January closing in on us, don't forget to sign up for the Governor's Conference on Tourism and, in the meantime, enjoy the weather!

Sincerely,
Melissa Bump

What Our Visitors Are Saying...
A response to the November issue of Travelsmart:

"We visited your State last summer! It was all that we expected it to be and more. The tours were great - Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, Spirit Mount - Yankton, stops on the Mississippi (Prairie Du Chien), and so much more. We travelled by Westfalia Van - camping was great! - people so friendly and helpful. Road system excellent (side roads - we shy away from the main highway as one missed the flavour of the area).....all very impressive. We have spread the word to all of our friends....South Dakota is a must-stop-State. Thank you so much for showing us such a good time! "

- Regards, Shirley & Gene
