DIRECTOR'S REPORT

Dear Industry Partners,

Here we are in August, with the peak tourism season already winding down. How quickly the time goes! Between the Rally, Primal Quest, the Akaska Walleye Festival, Redlin Art Center’s Summer Celebration and other events all across the state, we know you’re keeping busy!

This month we again remind you of the upcoming Digital Revolution meetings. We truly feel that this partnership will propel and benefit the entire state’s visitor industry, and we encourage all of you to attend next week’s informational meetings and ask as many questions as you can.

This month we also launch the fall Rooster Rush promotion, which will draw pheasant hunters from around the region. We look forward to this new campaign and will keep you updated on its progress as time goes on.

Sincerely,
Melissa Bump

Rooster Rush
The Office of Tourism is celebrating the tradition of pheasant hunting with a campaign this fall called Rooster Rush. We've developed promotional materials, ad templates, and a toolkit; and we are providing funding assistance. For more information or to request an official Rooster Rush toolkit on CD, contact Nicole Gall at nicole.gall@state.sd.us or 605-773-3301.
