Presented to
Jeff Anderson

Governor Mike Rounds presents the 2008 A.H. Pankow Award
to Jeff Anderson of KSDR Radio, Watertown.
The A.H. Pankow Award is an annual award which honors a media outlet or
individual member of the media whose coverage and promotion of the state’s
visitor industry is unparalleled.
Jeff Anderson, of KSDR Radio in Watertown, understands the importance of the
visitor industry, not only in his own community, but across South Dakota.
Anderson has been in the radio business for nearly 30 years. He currently has an
early morning show that is dedicated to promoting his city. Always supporting
and publicizing special events, conventions and sporting events, the show
features special guests daily, many of whom are part of the visitor industry.
When Tourism Week rolled around last spring, Anderson made a point of bringing a
live remote to each of his community’s four major attractions, speaking in a way
that made the listener feel like he or she was taking a tour of the attraction.
Anderson is a true leader in his community and a dedicated spokesman for South
Dakota’s visitor industry.
