2008 Poster Program

MEMORANDUM

TO: Visitor Industry Members

FROM: Natasha Bothun, Information Center Manager

RE: Poster Program at the Information Centers

DATE: March 1, 2008

The visitor season is fast approaching and the South Dakota Office of Tourism is once again offering poster space at the Interstate Information Centers.

Poster space is available at the Wilmot, Valley Springs, Vermillion, Salem Eastbound, Salem Westbound, Chamberlain, Vivian, Wasta Eastbound, Wasta Westbound and Spearfish Information Centers. A second display rack has been purchased for the Chamberlain center this winter to allow for more businesses to display their posters at this highly popular center.

Space will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis according to when we receive your co-op program request slip and payment. Due to high demand, there will be a limit of four poster locations per business. The Information Centers open May 17, 2008. It is your responsibility to send or deliver the poster to the appropriate Information Center supervisor by May 20. Please do not send posters to the Office of Tourism. If the supervisor has not received your poster by May 31, your space could be forfeited to another business on our waiting list.

We suggest you have a new poster produced if your poster design is more than three years old. We also recommend you send a new poster each year, as there is wear and tear from being previously displayed. The posters should look professional and we highly recommend laminating them. We reserve the right to refuse any poster for inappropriate content or appearance.

The cost is $50 for a 22” x 28” space for the season, $100 for two centers, $150 for three centers, and $175 for four centers. Payments should be made to the Office of Tourism. If you would like to reserve a space for your poster, please complete the enclosed request slip and return with your payment to Office of Tourism, Attention: Teresa, 711 E. Wells Ave., Pierre, SD 57501-3369. Space will be reserved according to the date we receive your payment.

The 2008 Information Center address list will be sent out in early May. Have a great season!
